Members Club at HU
Activity 18 DEC 2025

As part of the monthly Members Club at The Hashemite University, the IEEE SIGHT Team organized a welcoming session filled with educational and interactive activities. The event introduced members to SIGHT’s mission, goals, and vision while giving them an opportunity to experience the team’s first project.

IEEE Member Club: IEEE Societies Introduction Session

This event was organized as part of the IEEE Member Club initiative to introduce students to the various IEEE societies available within the Student Branch. Each society was given a dedicated segment to present its mission, technical focus, and opportunities for student engagement.

Activities Overview

The session began with an introductory speech about IEEE SIGHT, its purpose, and the work being developed by the team. This opening gave members a clear view of how technology, humanitarian goals, and student collaboration come together through SIGHT.

Exploring the Minecraft Project

The team then showcased its first launched project, the Minecraft Project. Members were invited to explore the server and experience its in-game features, turning the project into an accessible and engaging introduction to technology-based learning.

Multiverse Learning

To extend the experience beyond the live demonstration, the team distributed brochures explaining SIGHT’s vision. Members also received a youthful comic story featuring the SIGHT character and designed around the world of Minecraft under the title “Multiverse Learning.”

The combination of the server, brochures, and comic materials helped connect the project’s educational ideas with a creative story that members could understand and enjoy.

Speakers

Ibrahim Dawas presented the SIGHT’s Minecraft Project Explanation, while Mayar Hamdan delivered the Membership Developer Speech.

Feedback and Outcomes

The activities received positive feedback from members and attracted strong interest and engagement. The session made a positive impression of IEEE SIGHT’s work and projects while increasing members’ interest in the team’s future activities.

Conclusion

The Members Club session showed how IEEE SIGHT can build community through a mix of technology, storytelling, and personal connection. By introducing members to the Minecraft project and the wider SIGHT vision, the team created an interactive experience that encouraged curiosity, participation, and continued engagement.
