For the first time, the IEEE SIGHT Team at The Hashemite University took part in IEEE Day, uniting technology and compassion around one shared mission: making technology a force for humanity.
To introduce SIGHT to more students, the team launched a creative marketing campaign centered on a superhero character representing hope, innovation, and the belief that technology can deliver meaningful solutions.
The team presented a custom-built Minecraft server designed and managed by IEEE SIGHT. Inside the virtual world, interactive mini-games powered by a simple neural-network system introduced participants to the basics of artificial intelligence in a fun and hands-on way.
By connecting AI concepts with creativity and entertainment, the project gave students an accessible way to learn, play, and discover the SIGHT community. The experience sparked curiosity, encouraged new memberships, and created a memorable first impression of IEEE SIGHT at The Hashemite University.
The Hydroponic Tower project demonstrated how technology can support environmental responsibility. This soil-free, water-based farming system can reduce water waste by 90–95%, save space, and improve plant growth by 30–50%.
The project showed students how innovation can contribute to clean water, responsible consumption, and sustainable agriculture while serving real community needs.

IEEE SIGHT’s first participation in IEEE Day combined creativity, sustainability, and humanitarian values to leave a meaningful impression on the university community.
